Associate Professor at University of Verona (Italy) and at Imperial College London (UK), she is an immune-pathologist focused on the study of mechanisms of chronic intrathecal inflammation in multiple sclerosis.
In particular, she studied B cell activity in leptomeninges of post-mortem MS and the associated grey matter cortical pathology, including neuro-axonal damage and glia activation. She also contribute to the translation analysis of potential new markers of MS chronic inflammation.
