Micah Luftig

Dr. Micah Alan Luftig is a Professor and Vice Chair in the Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology at Duke University School of Medicine. He is an expert in Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) molecular pathogenesis. Dr. Luftig’s research focuses on understanding how EBV influences B cell function and contributes to diseases ranging from lymphoma to multiple sclerosis. His work combines molecular, genomic, and immunological approaches to uncover mechanisms that inform our understanding of how EBV promotes disease and may lead to new therapeutic strategies.
