Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Any pharmaceutical company supporting or participating in a congress in Italy, is subjected to an authorization by AIFA (Italian Drug Agency), according to an Italian Government Decree (Decreto Legislativo 219/06 – art. 124).
For Italian and foreign pharmaceutical companies, already registered in Italy (with SIS Code), the request of authorization must be submitted within 60 days, before the starting date of the event.
